St Edward’s Primary School

As a Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School, we seek to be a community which reflects the love of God in our relationships, standards, teachings and way of life. We endeavour to mirror the value which God puts on each individual. This means that there will be love, encouragement and support when the community is at its best and, when mistakes do occur, then forgiveness and reconciliation will be offered to each member, regardless of age, ability or resources.

St Edward’s Secondary School

The school aims to achieve a happy, fulfilled community within which:

  • lively faith and Christian values permeate all that is done,
  • the unique qualities of each individual are appreciated and nourished so that potential is fully realised,
  • excellence is energetically pursued in all aspects of school life,

and from which young people are able to live a rich, satisfying life with the desire to witness and contribute to society.

Church of England

The Church of England plays a vital role in the life of the nation, proclaiming the Christian gospel in words and actions and providing services of Christian worship and praise.

Its network of parishes cover the country, bringing a vital Christian dimension to the nation as well as strengthening community life in numerous urban, suburban and rural settings. Its cathedrals are centres of spirituality and service, and its network of chaplaincies across continental Europe meet important local needs.
